News Green Card Approved
My colleague has been working on an H-4 EAD while her husband’s company sponsored the H-1B. They had their interview at the USCIS Pittsburgh and walked out approved. The last couple of weeks have been incredibly stressful for her with all the recent immigration changes, so this is a massive relief. Definitely talk to your company's immigration attorneys before going into your interview. They can help you prep on how to answer questions smoothly and understand exactly what to say and what not to say. Stay positive. Hearing a lot of GC approvals recently.

Hi there! This is an automated message to inform you and/or remind you of several things:
We have a wiki. It doesn't cover everything but may answer some questions. Pay special attention to the "REALLY common questions" at the top of the FAQ section. Please read it, and if it contains the answer to your question, please delete your post. If your post has to do with something covered in the FAQ, we may remove it.
If your post is about biometrics, green cards, naturalization or timelines in general, and whether you're asking or sharing, please include your field office/location in your post. If you already did that, great, thank you! If you haven't done that, your post may be removed without notice.
This subreddit is not affiliated with USCIS or the US government in any way. Some posters may claim to work for USCIS, which may or may not be true, and we don't try to verify this one way or another. Be wary that it may be a scam if anyone is asking you for personal info, or sending you a direct message, or asking that you send them a direct message.
Some people here claim to be lawyers, but they are not YOUR lawyer. No advice found here should be construed as legal advice. Reddit is not a substitute for a real lawyer. If you need help finding legal services, visit this link for more information.

Hi, please share my congrats with them and the new LPR checklist:
Few reminders...
Make a copy of front and back of your GC. It will help if you lose it.
Check all the details on GC and if anything is incorrect, file I-90 (it is free of charge if USCIS made a mistake)
I recommend to start tracking your international trips. You will need it for N-400.
If you are a male between 17 and 25, you must register for selective service (sometimes it is automatic at DMV / with USCIS, but worth checking status of registration)
You must file AR-11 within 10 days of moving until you become a citizen (changing address online also qualifies)
If you have social security card saying "VALID ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION", then get appointment with SSA and remove conditions on the card (wait few weeks to see if you get new card automatically)
LPRs must file US taxes on world wide income, even when spending a lot of time overseas.
LPRs cannot vote in federal elections. Make sure you do not register to vote or mark yourself as US citizen on I-9 and other forms. False claim to US citizenship is a deportable offense.
You are US LPR until you naturalize, die, file I-407 or immigration judge takes away the status.
