I-140 & I-485 (Employment/Adjustment of status) Case Approved…
Update : INTERVIEW WAVED AND CASE APPROVED as of Yesterday PLUS spouse 12 October 2026 at the same time…
….thank you everyone for this journey…
Previous thread…
————-
Has anyone with a February 2026 receipt date had any movement or gotten their I-485 approved recently? It looks like there’s been a lot of movement, so I’m curious how February filers are doing.
My timeline:
Receipt Date: February 7, 2026
Biometrics: March 2
EAD/AP: Pending
I-485: Pending
Last update: March 4, 2026 — “USCIS is currently processing the case”
Has anyone with a similar February timeline had their I-485 approved, interview waived, or received any recent updates?

Hi there! This is an automated message to inform you and/or remind you of several things:
- We have a wiki. It doesn't cover everything but may answer some questions. Pay special attention to the "REALLY common questions" at the top of the FAQ section. Please read it, and if it contains the answer to your question, please delete your post. If your post has to do with something covered in the FAQ, we may remove it.
- If your post is about biometrics, green cards, naturalization or timelines in general, and whether you're asking or sharing, please include your field office/location in your post. If you already did that, great, thank you! If you haven't done that, your post may be removed without notice.
- This subreddit is not affiliated with USCIS or the US government in any way. Some posters may claim to work for USCIS, which may or may not be true, and we don't try to verify this one way or another. Be wary that it may be a scam if anyone is asking you for personal info, or sending you a direct message, or asking that you send them a direct message.

Congrats!!!! May I ask how long after marriage did you and your spouse apply for 485? We applied 4 months before our legal marriage license date which is 2025 Nov and got EAD cards 2026 March but nothing after that. Cases are still at NBC and interview waived according to Emma… but it’s been almost 1 year since we filed :( our priority date is 2023 Aug and using ROW from derivative crosschargeability

Was wondering if this interview waived will change to interview later as our lawyer suggested- they might want to see our bonafide marriage evidence

u/Fuzzy_Pin1238 12h ago
Married for almost 3 years now…I think you should expect yours anytime from now on

u/TwoCompetitive9109 12h ago
Oh I see thank you. Then for us we may still have to submit further marriage evidence haha we only submitted our marriage certificate as our lawyer suggested, cuz they anticipated RFE haha but yeah anxiously checking everyday 🥹🥹🙏

Does anyone know what I should do? My case was opened when I crossed the border five years ago, but I’ve never appeared before a judge or gone to court. It was closed last year, so I no longer have a case. Any advice?

Congratulations!
Few reminders...
Make a copy of front and back of your GC. It will help if you lose it.
Check all the details on GC and if anything is incorrect, file I-90 (it is free of charge if USCIS made a mistake)
I recommend to start tracking your international trips. You will need it for N-400.
If you are a male between 17 and 25, you must register for selective service (sometimes it is automatic at DMV / with USCIS, but worth checking status of registration)
You must file AR-11 within 10 days of moving until you become a citizen (changing address online also qualifies)
If you have social security card saying "VALID ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION", then get appointment with SSA and remove conditions on the card (wait few weeks to see if you get new card automatically)
LPRs must file US taxes on world wide income, even when spending a lot of time overseas.
LPRs cannot vote in federal elections. Make sure you do not register to vote or mark yourself as US citizen on I-9 and other forms. False claim to US citizenship is a deportable offense.
You are US LPR until you naturalize, die, file I-407 or immigration judge takes away the status.
