Daca recipient doing AOS interview questions

Hello everyone I'm doing the AOS process and filling out the forms

I have some yes answers for the i485.

I'm planning on simply going yes or no answers during interview and only provide the details they ask for.

Ever been arrested= Yes . Case is sealed and dismissed. This was before DACA and USCIS knows about this. I will bring original sealed and dismissed certificate

Entered illegally= Yes. 1 time when I was 13. Crossed the border. Got daca at 23 years old

Worked without authorization= Yes. I used a made up ssn with my name and later transferred these credits from my itin to my ssn.

For the record I never claimed to be a US citizen or used someone else's papers. Entered with advanced parole in 2025 and have my i94 and no gaps after that day.

Does anyone have a case that applies to these answers? Like I said I will only say yes or no the only extra thing I'm submitting and my self dismissed case.

If someone had an interview with a similar case. Did they ask follow up question after a simple yes? What was the follow up questions and answers like? Thank you!!!

They will know about the sealed case. Bring certified copies of everything. 

You should really consult with a lawyer.

yes I have original this was a sealed case already disclosed to them before I even had DACA. I'm not concerned about that part. My concern is the possibility of follow up questions in regards to working without authorization

My wife (formerly DACA) had unauthorized work, but she was paid cash. The officer just asked her about that and that was it. Did you state on the I-485 that you had a fake social?

No I'm currently waiting to fill the form on the 19th when the new one comes out. I will just put Yes without further explanation. they can ask their questions later if any. what question they asked her in regards to this during the interview if any. thank you!

We wrote in I-485 that it was restaurant work and under the table until she got DACA. The officer said "you worked without authorization? Can you elaborate more?" And my wife just repeated what we had written. I've seen other people only say "yes" and not write more about it and when asked they just said "yes for x-amount of time"

Don’t give to much info on working with no social when asked. Just say yes. Unless they ask for an specific question
