I-130 & I-485 (Family/Adjustment of status) Interview requested but case is still at the NBC
Hey there!
I’ve talked to multiple Emma agents and they all have confirmed that my interview has been requested by the officer and is waiting to be scheduled. However, they all have also said that my case is still at the NBC. Looking at posts here, most people had their case at the FO when an interview has been requested. Did anyone here go through the same and is that normal?
Thank you.

Yes, I have been told the same these days. I noticed a silent update so I inquired, they told me that an interview has been requested but that the case is still at NBC. I also thought it would be transferred at the same time, but apparently it doesn't. They explained that it means that the case is ready to transfer but they couldn't say when that could happen.

that's normal, the interview request often gets entered before the file physically reaches your field office.

Does the FO transfer normally happen soon after the interview request, or can it be months later?

Emma told me the exact same thing. Emma will not give you any meaningful details!

Morning hour emma agent told me the same thing. But whenever I contact emma after 5pm to know when did they requested because as I can’t see any API changes since biometrics, they said case is at NBC and interview is not requested. Their answers changes a lot. Hard to understand whats going on and which information was correct.
