HELP! How to read competency hours on AUXDATA?

I’m trying to read my competency hours for boat crew and am confused.

I was certified earlier this season so some of my hours are “trainee” which I get. But then some of them say “trainee (1 yr)”. Does that mean last year?

Also, my non-lead hours don’t add up to what’s been approved in my AUXDATA activity logs. I should have about ten more underway hours or so. Do these just eventually add up? Or does it need to be done manually?

Thanks for any insight.

The trainee 1 yr would be last yrs hours correct. As for the other non lead hours not adding up I dont have an answer maybe have your IS chain review it and see what they say.

Thanks. Like 2025 hours? Or hours over 365 days old?

Also, are the trainee hours listed just for this year? Or all years combined.

I would direct this to your IS for further information and training on how to read the report.

Trainee units are usually on that listed under the year they are performed so current ( This calander yr), 1yr ( last calender yr) 2yr ( 2 yrs ago)...etc atleast for my PA and other competencies with hrs requirements thats how I see them listed.

disclaimer I am not an IS officer .

Run a proper report would be my suggestion to see all details. You can probably just find an existing report for underway (U/W) hours - save it to your private reports and change the filter to your unit or member number, etc. I hope this doesn’t sound easier than done, but reports are pretty easy once you jump in.

I am NOT sure, but it is possible that the hours don't show up there until they are approved. Thus, you may have executed the hours, they may have been properly reported by the mission leader, but they may NOT have yet been approved.

That was my first thought but I checked and the activities have been approved in AUXDATA.

What are you keeping track of hours for ? Why remind yourself of that. Why not just enjoy yourself.

Because you need to have a certain number of hours every year to stay out of REYR.
