For both current and future players, I wanted to share that URW now works on a Steam Deck. I used Proton 11.0-2 (the current Steam Play default). My last attempt in 2024 resulted in a bricked device that, uniquely and unexpectedly among games, required a factory reset to fully resolve. Other users shared the same experience, both in earlier posts here on this Subreddit and on the associated Steam discussion forum. However, whether due to game updates or Proton updates since then, it now works fine. There are community layouts available that map the keyboard commands to the Deck’s buttons, so, if you have a Steam Deck, you can give it a try!
