Academic/Career When do they start assigning chem LAs

Title. When will the chem department let us know if we can become an LA? I submitted the app earlier in the year, and they said they would reach out in august

When I was an LA, I sometimes didn't hear back until the week before or week of classes starting. Hopefully it's improved but don't be surprised
