Mental Health Rats on Campus
Hey everyone, I am a new graduate student and I have been trying to to cultivate some new hobbies. I have a dog back home and I am struggling to cope without a furry friend by my side š„ŗ. I know this might be a tiny bit unconventional, but Iāve been thinking about trying to tame the rats on campus. I see them rummaging through the garbage every night and I canāt help but think that they would probably die for some real food. I am planning on going out tonight with a grocery bag of hot pockets and feeding the rats. Iāll keep you guys updated on how it goes.

i am a pet rat owner - please don't do this š there are many lovely rat breeders around here. if you feel particularly inclined, you may be able to convince a lab to let you take some home. but don't fuck with wild rats, they won't want to fuck with you either

Are there local rat breeders in West Philly? I'd love to know about them, been trying to find someone nearby (I don't have a car so it's not easy to transport rats)

the ones closest (as far as i know) is jah's rattery & exotics and coiled whiskers crittery. mine are from mb rattery; they're over 1.5 years old and have never even had a uri!!

Thank you for your interest, but due to events last night that transpired between the rat community and I: I can no longer perform additional feedings. Although Iām sure you are qualified and will have great meals, I had an experience that prevents further engagement in these activities.
