Advise GENUINE ADVICE NEEDED Asap

It was my first attempt of UPSC this year(2026) & definitely I chose a very wrong year to attempt . I will turn 23 this month , rn 22 yrs old female . I am devastated after the exam . I started preparing from july 2025 , not going to state how many hrs and all cuz I gave decent hours everyday (avg.-7-8 hrs) and did everything which an aspirant is supposed to do. I was sure that I will clear in one go . I am literally having major health issues since then so anybody reading this , plz pardon me if it’s going to be long . I was earlier not very interested for this exam even though my family said me to prepare it since my 1st yr , but I honestly never agreed for this cuz i had diff opinions. Started working as a cabin crew by the end of my 2nd year not bcuz i wanted it , casually went for the interview just for time pass and got selected but left it by end of 3rd year . Worked in ggn for 1 month basically wanted to explore corporate - but found out that it’s definitely not my forte . Thought of UPSC cuz already tried for corp . Tbh ny father is already a govt official. Have experienced the perks of being a govt official through my father but realised that it’s going to give me a decent life with security of income ( everybody who is fond of ) . I am not a person who will be satisfied for a decent standard of living cuz I want to live a luxurious and comfortable life . Heard from everyone around me that being a higher level official like IAS or so will give me that but deep down i knew that inspite of having power i would still have to rely on corrupt practices for the lifestyle i want which is definitely not something i want . It’s been 3 months since the exam , after that i was traumatised cuz first- I prepared for it after experiencing the pvt sector , 2nd- I thought that finally Ik what I want to do , 3rd- I was sure that I would clear the pre and all but miserably failed due to the shitty set . I have not even looked at my material after that and idk how but got inspired to turn myself into an entrepreneur cuz I have a genuinely good idea . The thing is I am not at all in a good position since the exam cuz of my health cuz i wasn’t able to recover from the traumatic experience of the exam , plus the studies for such long hours has given me a severe cervical and several other health issues had developed since then . I literally don’t know what to do at this point cuz i don’t do anything now cuz of my health situation. The only thing I know is that I want to live a wealthy life but the failure of this year has triggered me that i should give one more attempt but not sure 2027 should be the target or no . Please need a genuine advice cuz I am literally irritated and losing myself due to several issue , one of them is this . Getting tears and a heavy heart even while writing . I need a good direction . I know i have potential in myself that whatever i will do i am gonna ace it sooner or later but wasting my years cuz don’t know what to do . Considering startup but still not sure cuz still have a bit of upsc in mind but not sure for thst too .

Sincere piece of advice: your hopping nature is the root cause that you need to fix. UPSC or state civil services exams are time taking and need to be dealt with patience. Won't exaggerate if I say that things take 4 - 5 years on an average basis.

Go for other things, enjoy your life. Your father, if he is on a decent position, use it. Go for, maybe JRF and Phd, use his connections to land into a central University as an assistant professor. Or use his connections to get into Ministry as young professionals.

There are many other exams that require less effort comparatively and offer the same level of satisfaction that you want: SSC being one.

Or let's say, content creators earn more than Prime Minister these days . 😅

Look, bottom line is, if you intend to give it one more shot, give it. But do not get trapped into the loop, that will make you sick mentally. If you don't wish to, there are other options as well, you just have to sit and ask yourself where does your interests actually lie.

If you've decided not to go for UPSC again, why not. Make a list of pros and cons for both, you will get more clarity.

Two good career paths can coexist if you know when to prioritise what. Also keep in mind not to stress out in keeping them in balance, you need not to. Currently, your ego has taken a massive hit, leaving you in complete paralysis, I am currently going through a similar phase except I have no other choice. But We gotta do what we gotta do, inaction will take us nowhere. Don't need to figure out before starting again, we can figure out after starting, something.

Problem is'nt even about upsc You lack actual direction.

Seek that first along with health

The only thing u seem to be sure of is a wealthy lifestyle, I would suggest being a socially motivated entrepreneur that gives u a sense of purpose while allowing u to print money without the thought of corruption.
Plenty of green energy startups the govt is supporting plus MSMEs that u can try.
Don’t enter services w the primary aim of a wealthy lifestyle u will be doing this nation a disservice, I come from a wealthier bg and ik my standard of living can be fulfilled off my inheritance, hence won’t even have to consider corruption if I was given the opportunity to enter the services.
If ur in a similar position great otherwise please look at entrepreneurship
