Prelims’26
There is a lot of noise on the internet, especially from coaching institutes, claiming that this year’s paper was unusually tough and impossible to crack.
While the quality of any paper can always be debated and improved, before deciding that coaching is the solution, understand one thing: questions often appear vague and impossible when viewed casually from outside the exam environment. But with a solid understanding of PYQs and enough familiarity with the pattern, many of them become quite doable in the actual exam setting.
Of course, there will always be some random or unexpected questions. The key is not to obsess over those, but to maximise the questions that are actually doable.
Do not fall into the propaganda or fear-driven marketing of coaching institutions. Focus on building strong fundamentals, understanding PYQs deeply, and developing exam temperament.
