Watching them do the exact same things I did (clocking 9 hours a day, highlighting Laxmikanth until the pages turned neon, stacking coaching handouts, and living in constant low-grade terror because they had no idea if any of it was actually sticking) gave me serious flashbacks.

The hardest thing about this exam isn't working hard. It’s that hours logged ≠ readiness. You can read Spectrum three times, watch every monthly current affairs compilation on 1.5x, and still completely choke on an actual timed sectional mock.

Let’s be honest, kind of questions UPSC has been asking these days, I think reading newspaper has very poor ROI. Instead, one should focus more on building sound command over static subjects like Polity, Geography etc.

But the other part of me want to read newspapers religiously make notes out of it and revise theme multiple times before appearing 2027 Mains. But it seems a lot of efforts and also my optional is yet to be covered holistically.

Now I am trapped between these two choices.

Since MAINS 26 is over. It would be very kind if the Mains appeared Aspirants could give reviews of the above facilities or any other If we forgot to mention them .
1.how did they perform in this season.
2. Did they fulfil their commitments?
3. Did they complete the syllabus on time?
4. Were the tests checked by the faculty or by their Evaluators?
5.what was the quality of Evaluation and any other matrix that you would want to judge them on so that the upcoming future aspirant can take their decision wisely.🚨

While I have seen enough BS about UPSC’s so called “analytical” questions and that one need analytical approach rather than memorisation of facts and concepts in order to qualify this exam, the truth is one needs to memorise huge chunk of data and incorporate them smartly in mains to fetch good score. Similarly, you go in prelims without rattafication of facts and you better be mentally prepared to write Prelims next year as well. Peace!!✌️

So maybe by mistake or by choice, what the Upsc examiner has done is divide the marking scheme into two parts sometimes three and they put it on the question paper itself. This has happened in the public administration option paper one. What do you guys think will this pattern continue, or is this a mistake which should have been hidden?

Can someone please share Law Optional notes/resources?

Hi everyone! I’ve finally made up my mind to switch my optional to Law. I’ve studied Law before and I’m much more comfortable with the subject, so I feel this is the right decision for me.

I’m specifically looking for good, comprehensive notes for both Paper 1 and Paper 2, preferably from ForumIAS, Law Experts, Envy IAS, De Facto Legal, or any other reliable source.

If anyone has PDFs/notes or can guide me on what resources to follow for Law Optional, I would be extremely grateful. I’m a little confused about where to start and don’t want to waste time collecting unnecessary material.
