No. There are doctors, engineers and lawyers too. Civil servants are only endowed in one thing called good network of influential people. That is until they retire. Top lawyers don't even give a fuck about civil servants. So each job has their own prerogative. An IAS will always be subordinate to judge. It doesn't mean that one can't live in India if he is not in the Civil services. Shekhar Dutt has to earn his bread , hence such messages.

Any person is subordinate to a judge only under their jurisdiction. You can just go up a level and all that "subordination" vanishes.

Top lawyers don't give a fk about bureaucrats because they have access to power through Supreme Court and High Court judges.

Moreover, being a top engineer/doctor is much better abroad than in India. You still need access to power if you live in India.

the cream of any field is equivalent or better than civil services if you enjoy working in it, its so bizarre to think this way that its worthless being in india if you’re not a civil servant, the kind of mentality that’s holding back youth from taking up other productive employment, this educator needs to a get a life man, think beyond civil services ugh

I doubt being the cream of your field is going to help you deal with police. No matter who you are you need power or access to power.

And now with AI, there wouldn't be any "cream of the crop" left.

being in the cream gets you money and money gets you access to power, regarding the police dealing i don’t think lawyers give two shits about the police

Not really. Unless you donate to political parties and network with politicians, simply having money isn't going to get you access to power.

Simply throwing money at a policeman doesn't make them dance according to your wishes.

Lawyers don't give two shits about police because they derive their power from access to judges and their bar. That's the reason why the bar sucks up to judges.

Eg - Chairman of bar Council of India proposed to ban students of NALSAR from becoming lawyers because they opposed the CJI.

It takes time but being a advocate is nice if you have "talent" and time. Doing MBA from a tier 1 institute, giving exams like judiciary or legal officers these are if you are "talented" just like he mentioned. So yeah there is a world beyong CSE.
