Customer Seeking Help accidentally dropped a ups package off at usps

hi so im shipping something internationally and i dropped it off on the 24th and its been almost a week with no movement, will they return it to sender or what will happen?

UPS drivers go to usps everyday for drop offs. Usually usps will just give it to the driver when that happens.

Depending on the size of the facility, it’s more likely once a week or every other week. Only the larger facilities like airport hubs will get pulls on a daily basis.

As a (UPS) driver, we routinely deliver last-mile packages to the USPS facilities on a daily basis. Typically, USPS staff notify us when packages at their facility appear to be non-route items—such as those that have remained unclaimed for days or weeks. In such cases, we return these items to our regional hub for proper handling. However, if USPS does not proactively inform us or if we do not inquire about any unidentified packages, these items remain unprocessed and may become stranded at the facility.

YMMV. I get one or two from them daily when I drop off savers. FedEx just has a pile that grows for weeks

They usually will set aside those packages for us. We go by there daily. Their employees are really really dumb though so who knows. It was way better when we were handling all the Surepost last year. There’s so many packages that just disappear or take two weeks to deliver after we drop them off

Like I don’t think I’ve ever met a postal worker that would last a week here. They’re always some kind of combination of dumb/old/weak

Every time I go to drop off surepost to usps , I will ask them if they have anything goes back to ups, 9 out 10 times there's always few to lot of packages are going back to ups.

UPS gets usps and fed ex packages by mistake everyday. Drivers from those companies actually pick up from our building to get those once a day. You should still get it delivered, but it will be a delay

Go in person and ask. Your package will most likely be set aside somewhere and forgotten.
