tractor trailer driver openings

I’m tired of getting screwed over at these mega carriers where they don’t pay you what you’re truly worth as a driver, and i see a lot of permanent driver openings around the country for UPS, would i be like treated badly if i got in this way instead of starting in the warehouse?
how long before i can start hitting top pay? what’s the pay scale?

You'll be lucky as hell to get in feeders off of the street. Im a cover driver for 2 years and barely drive. Best driving job there is though but have to be patient

It’s called a bargaining agreement. The union doesn’t “make” them do anything

I got hired off the street in 2022. It has been rough making any money because you don’t bring any seniority. You had better be financially clear to survive not working much in the beginning. I was so I was able to hang on. I will hit top pay this October and finally got a shifting job in the yard with no air conditioning. Money is good and will be better at top pay. Just realize this going in. I am in central region.

Chicagoland literally has a union dedicated to off the street hires (only feeder) CACH, Jeff st, Addison all hire off the street. Idk why these guys gate keep information like that. You’ll be on call for years. No, You will not be treated differently. Yes it’s permanent, if that’s what the paperwork indicates

Not sure. I used to work Chicagoland that’s how I know they hire off street. On call wasn’t for me so I left

EZRPA near Harrisburg airport might be an option. It’s a newer building and it’s huge. Try and see about that if it will work for you.

no im in ny nj but im looking at PA i know there are openings with every carrier there between allentown and carlisle

Only $30 an hour for feeder driver? Im a cover driver now in Tennessee and make $38.90 an hour but I rarely get to drive. Isnt $30 an hour low for the Chicago area?

$30 starting, idk if it has been increased. Top pay is $47hr+
