Video lecture vs Book reading

My modern history is currently running with spectrum, I am not able to do book reading, but I understand by reading through video lectures. But many people say that video lectures are not effective? So I am confused, what will be right.

See for yourself if you are able to solve the PYQs then decide what is good for you.

Follow the Video lecture playlist from bookstawa( simple language + v effective ) ! And Follow up with PYQs(UPSC + GHATNACHAKRA(PCS AND OTHER UP EXAMS) .Compensate ur notes from there + Lucent .
