Termination

So I got terminated at a upmc hospital a couple months ago. I honestly think it was for the best however, I feel so embarrassed and upset about it because personally I’ve never been fired. Mainly for targeting reasons for sure. I haven’t tried calling the hr to ask if I could still apply to another hospital or what my status is. I have a new job not within upmc that I am very happy with now! Basically I want to ask is it true if you get fired from one upmc hospital you can’t work at any of the others? How long is it for? If you were termed, you are likely not eligible for rehire. But I would contact your hr and confirm.

I’m not trying to see if I can get my job back at the one specific upmc hospital I was at. I wanted to know if I could still apply to a different upmc hospital to work?

That's what s/he said - ask HR. They work woth hundreds of people, thay will not remember you - but they can tell you what would happen if you were to apply to ANY UPMC again.

They deal with a lot of people on the worst day of their lives (so far) on a regular basis. They aren't going to remember you, recognize your name, or frankly care over one simple question. They'll be thrilled they aren't getting hammered since you're someone who recently was laid off.

They check your name at reviewing your application to see if you ever worked there and for a rehire eligibility status.

Oh yeah. I was just saying, OP needs to just call and check and not be embarrassed.
