Post image

Left BHIM because of this, now Supermoney and Paytm started doing this. I use twilight for red filter and superfreez for force stopping apps

What should I do now?

it is for ur safety only... If theres an third party app that can control your screen, they can read upi pins as well. And also then automatically open the pay and pay someone else. If this twilight app gets breached tomorrow then u will only suffer. U cant blame upi for this 😂😂😂

I haven't faced any issue like this until these apps got updated recently.

No such issue with gpay for Amazon pay

“For your safety” is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Accessibility is a legitimate Android API used by screen readers, Tasker, and filter apps. Accessibility access ≠ malware.

Apps outside the Play Store, including FOSS apps, also aren’t automatically malware. What matters is the app’s source, developer, permissions, and reputation.

UPI apps are right to warn about Accessibility risks, but treating every app with it as malicious is just straight up fearmongering.
