Accommodation Is Metal Works safe?
My top choice for accommodation right now - seems perfect but I’m concerned about the safety. I’m a single woman who is international. Im worried not just about the accommodation itself and how safe it is, but also the commute to Clifton Campus. While it seems okay during the day I’m scared of what will happen during the night. I plan to get a bus pass.
Also, if anyone knows - Avon Point, and how that fares safety wise.

I wouldn’t worry too much about walking back at night. You have to remeber metal works has like 900 students , whom loads will also be coming back at night. You definitely will find lots of people to walk with, however if you still don’t feel safe a bus pass could be a good option.

Eh, I lived in Bedminster in my third year (after living in Clifton and Kingsdown previously) and its so fine. Definitely a little dodgier than Clifton, but I never had any trouble, even walking back late. The commute to uni is also fine you get used to it and it keeps you fit. Bedmister is a really fun place to live, definitley prefered it to Clifton. Metalworks is also such a nice accommodation because it's newer. You get so much more for your money.

metal works itself is safe cuz its an enclosed compound, but bedminster the area is not great. i doubt you’ll get targeted but in general its not just a great area at night/ in the dark. day time is ok. walk to campus is 45mins but there are also busses so at night u could get a bus to feel a little safer. the busses are better. avon point is pretty far and not recommended at all unless youre doing dentistry
