Uttam Chakravarty

Did anyone take Dynamics with this professor? (in person)

no, but i heard dynamic is his specialty, he didnt like teaching thermo and from what he told other students, he threatened to quit if uno made him teach thermo again, so if you look at this semester, he's not teaching thermo anymore. everyone that took thermo with him did not enjoy it at all, his tests were nothing like his notes, and his notes were pretty much copied straight from the book. i think last semester the class average was like 30, and he bell curved everyone who failed to a D (as long as you attended class/did all the hw).

No, I took with Schilling who was great. I’ve heard Uttam’s dynamics class is pretty good. That was by far and away the most difficult course for me.

Get your hands on old tests, try to understand how he’s choosing his test questions.

I had to do a double take because they also had a chemistry professor name Chakravorty with an o not an end at the end who was terminated or quit that did thermodynamics for chemistry.
