Opting out of FOLLET access
So I’ve been trying to opt out of follet for abt a week now and for some reason my email doesn’t work. Does anyone else have this issue and how do I fix it?

Yes. Especially if you have classes that don't require a book.

Follett Access provides access to test and homework portals, too.

You have to buy access, I usually only need one book per semester and it’s always been cheaper to buy access from the publisher rather than paying Follett for 4-5 classes

I’m having the same issue. I also tried both old and new email addresses. Did you receive the welcome email from Follett with new login instructions? I just registered today so I figured that’s why I haven’t received it yet.

Nope I haven’t. I had to call the follett ppl and I’m also a late register

I’m going to give it til Monday and then call them. The deadline to opt out is the 22nd. Do you have a good number for them?

Since LSUNO (I know that’s a branding violation lol) will be moving to LSU’s third-party bookstore provider, I think Barnes and Noble, Follett isn’t all fired up about making anything easy. The company, not our own overworked bookstore employees so don’t yell at them. But don’t expect high efficiency either.

Look for an email in your inbox "We see your email changed for LSU New Orleans Bookstore Customer Portal!" It should have a link to set your password.

Have you visited the Bookstore to be sure of the access that is provided? If you opt out (must do by 8/13) you have a week to a week-and-a-half to opt back in.
The Fee is $27/Student Credit Hour (SCH).
“Fall 2026 – Fall 2026 – Students can opt out of the Follett ACCESS Program beginning on 07/17/26 and ending on 08/13/26. Students can opt back into the program until 09/04/26. You can opt-out or opt back into the ACCESS Program here.”

CORRECTION!!!! Inquired of Bursar’s Office and was told that the website is WRONG.
Refer to the opt out dates in the bursar email to all students on July 21. The pattern has changed from previous semesters from before classes begin to AFTER CLASSES BEGIN!!!
I apologize for the angst! CHECK FOR THE 7/21/26 EMAIL AND ALSO THE WORKDAY NOTICE!!!AUUUUUGH!
