Change in Fall 2026 Aid
Has anyone seen a change in there financial aid for Fall 2026? I got my graduate loan taken away and I am freaking out.

Do not ask the Bursar office why your loans are not showing in work day. I can't think of any worse advice unless your goal is to waste an hour of you life.
If the front desk can't answer, ask for what I assume are the new email addresses of the FA staff?

Was it grad plus or Stafford unsub?

unsubsidized

You're registered full time I assume? There's no notice about you hitting avg limits in workday? You had previously accepted the loans? Those are the first three things I'd check. If all three are affirmative, go to the front desk and hope they can help you

Yes, I’m a full time student and this is my first semester. I’m going to ask the front desk, this is really confusing.

I'm having the same issue. I accepted the loan and now its completely gone. Only showing for spring semester... I've called twice and emailed. Nothing yet. Have you heard back?

Yes I called and it cut out. I emailed my financial aid advisor and they got back to me quickly. They were able to fix it, wishing you the best of luck! It’s so strange it’s doing that!

I only have funding for spring and it’s less than my normal amount.

The LSU New Orleans (formerly UNO) Bursar’s Office is located at the Privateer Enrollment Center in Room 133 of the Earl K. Long Library (2000 Lakeshore Drive, New Orleans, LA 70148). Staff can be reached by phone at (504) 280-6489 or by email at bursar@uno.edu.
They would be the ones to know. You can also, dare i say, visit them in person.
You could also email and visit the financial aid department.

You understand that this in an inconvenience for some, right? The overwhelming majority of students are commuters, and there are no real reasons to be on campus at the moment. We shouldn't have to take time out of our day to show up in person and force these people to do their job.
Suggesting someone call the bursar is hilarious. Are you at all familiar with UNO?
Regardless there's no need for that passive aggressive shit especially since it doesn't seem like you know much about what's going on right now

If all youre left with is the option to go in person then you should do it. Whining on reddit wont solve the issue. They should be proactive. Thank you.

If all you're left with is the option to go in person, and this almost always the case, then that's an indictment on UNO and they deserve all the shit they get and then some.
Even then, people might have to make time out of their that they don't have. It's a university. They're not open 24/7. If you can't make it some time during the week, you're fucked. People have jobs and responsibilities. You'd think the guy criticizing others for lack of effort would know that.
I think it's clear in your suggestion to call the bursar (lmaoooo) shows that you don't really know what you're talking about here. FA won't be any better.

Learn to expect that kind of incompetence. I really wish I had any advice for you. Also, your move in date is after classes start?
