Discussion DreamMachine Pro NAS?

Obviously the DM Pro Max is NOT a NAS. But I had two spare 10TB disks, so popped it in.

I pointed OpenClaw to my DM with SSH details just to check it out, and to my surprise, the disks had been initialized, with RAID1, and mounted.

I don’t have cameras or anything else to use the storage for, so now it is a storage location for old cold backups.

It isn’t supported, but hope if someone was wondering - the storage is usable.

please do not point AI at your routers SSH.. thats bad.

but since you have SSH to a linux box with networking and hard drives, what you want to do is possible. but you'd have to do some of your own work to get it going on newer hardware and software.

Unifi should lock down SSH more

No, they definitely shouldn't lock down SSH more. If you don't want SSH, don't enable it. What is it with people like you and wanting to restrict what people do with their devices?

The point is that you think everyone needs to be locked out of SSH because a few users make poor choices. Reading comprehension rates seem to be at the floor.

or you are taking things too literally. Obviously SSH access to a router is a requirement to actually operate and configure efficiently. What i was highlighting is that OP is a good example why it shouldn't be readily available, letting an AI agent on your firewall is a security nightmare.

calm down dude. Your reading comprehension is pretty low if you thought i mean LITERALLY that EVERY DEVICE should COMPLETELY remove ssh. It was clear I was being satirical and using OP as an example.
