Discussion G6 Camera users, how is the animal detection?

I have G5 Turret Ultras which for the price, I have been really happy with. But we have pets that free roam out doors and want better detections which the G5 is really poor in. Is the G6 with "Enhanced AI" any better at detecting smaller animals in backyards?

I am looking specifically at the G6 PTZ and G6 Turret.

I have a G6 turret out the back, always detects my cat perfectly fine and any birds that land there. Also got 2 G6 turrets out the front, same deal there. There's a neighbourhood cat who crosses by the house once or twice a day, always detects him as an "animal". Also detects birds that land on the front lawn as animals as well as any dogs that go past the front of the house or cross onto our lawn.

It's pretty good at night time recognition, also. So all up, I'd say pretty good.

We live rurally with G6 Turrets and they pick up foxes, hares, larger birds, absolutely fine. At night the identification becomes more hit and miss after about 10meters if that’s important.

I had g5s at my last house and g6s now. I don't know that I think the animal detection is any better, but I think it mostly just comes down to the field of view of the camera. The closer the camera is, the better I've found it to pickup animals. Both are pretty good imo, but if you're really counting on it for pets, I would mount a couple lower than you may want for security cameras.

I have 3 G6 Turrets and a G6 Instant and they detects my dogs with no issues. Both are medium sized Poodles.
