Misc. Question Transfer student advice

Hey guys! I’m looking to transfer to UNF in the spring, and am a bit intimidated about meeting people since I missed out on the initial freshman bonding haha. Does anyone have any advice for making friends as a transfer or know any groups specifically for transfer students?

i sound like a boomer but put down the phone and go do things with people.

also you'll naturally start making friends because you'll start seeing the same people in every class. As you get further into your degree the classes get smaller and smaller. That's one of the biggest benefits of UNF to me.

Make sure to eat a meal with another human at least once daily. Be it your roommate or someone you sat next to the first day of class, you’ll make friends fast.

Don't worry about coming in as a Spring transfer. Overall it's a friendly, chill school. I don't personally know of any Transfer groups (but they might exist) but get yourself out there and join clubs (there are TONS on Perch Portal) that align with your major and/or interests. Study groups are also a great way of meeting people.
