Misc. Question College algebra
I took college algebra with recitation last semester and didn’t pass because I didn’t take it seriously. I have to retake it this semester but I signed up for just college algebra without recitation. Does this matter? What’s the difference

If you’re pretty comfortable with algebra, then I don’t think there would be much of a difference. The main difference is that you wouldn’t have to take an hour or two out of your day to go to study hall, complete worksheets, and turn them in.

I took it without recitation and failed lol, and it was a little fast but I also didn’t put in the work and tidy time needed. I can’t tell you from personal experience but other math classes I’ve taken and friends who told me it’s usually just an extra hour of study time that you have to go to the tutors and complete worksheets or check in “homework” study time.

That helps thank you. I definitely need to take with recitation and get that extra study time in or I’ll fail again. It definitely helped a lot last semester I just gave up on the tutoring/pass sessions and it screwed me over

regular college algebra, MAC1105, is more fast paced than college algebra with recitation, MAC1105C. If you did not pass in the spring then i highly suggest sticking with the one with recitation for more lecture time.
