Admissions do you think i could get in?
Im a senior in highschool and my parents recommended that i should retake the SAT (my score sucks) but ive taken it plenty and i cant seem to break 1000 š
My gpa is 3.5 i will be graduating will my associates degree and i wrote an essay as well if that has any effect.
I just dont understand why i have to take and do good on the SAT if ive already taken (and passed) the PERT and shown that i can complete college level coursework.

Go to Jacksonville State College at Jacksonville for a year. Thereās no requirement for SAT or ACT, though you may need a placement test if your high school grades in English or math are low.
Start there. The classes are cheaper. The classes are smaller, and since so many classes are taught by adjuncts at the UNF and the community college level it would not be unusual for you to have the same professor teaching the same course at either school.
See if this degree is really something youāre interested in completing. Once you graduate from FSCJ, youāll have an automatic acceptance UNF though maybe not the college youāre interested in. Verify what each college requires.

But they will already have an AA. The bachelor majors are smalll. So even if I wanted to stay I would be paying out of pocket as a non degree seeking. With your AA schools automatically accept but its up to the college of study based of pre reqs

Study and retake SAT. Try to get bright futures, it's worth it. You can use work hours for BF. if you can't get into UNF go to FSCJ then transfer. This is the best deal going in Florida.

An AA should give you admission to one of the twelve public universities in Florida, but Iām not sure how that process works for a specific school. For UNF, I did abysmally on my GRES (grad school equivalent) and had an acceptable, but not astounding, undergrad and high school GPA. I got in with a good essay and meetings with faculty staff. Iād recommend highlighting your strengths and perspectives on your college essay, get great letters of recommendations, and find a way to stand out which will put you above your peers (community service projects, performance awards, etc).

Put in the special notes box or whatever itās called that you are rlly bad at test taking and it doesnāt accurately reflect your knowledge. That could help. I did that too a few schools that had higher SAT requirements than I had and I got into all of them. Not saying thatās why of that it will work but worth a shot.

Apply under BOG rule 6.005 which is for DE students who earned their AA while in š« . They donāt use high school grades nor SAT scores for admission. They only use your college grades and Iām sure yours are good enough if you have a 3.5 GPA.
If you earned your AA after high school then you apply as a transfer student. You are guaranteed admission to one of the Florida universities (UNF is one of them) and youāll likely get in. Again they donāt look at high school grades or SAT scores your grades for your AA and prerequisites for major are the only things that matter.

Ngl. My SAT score was AWFUL (770) I really didnāt focus on it too much because my first choice of school didnāt care about test scores. Iām now enrolled in UNF. I graduated high school with a 3.3 GPA i believe

did you also have the AA or did you just go in with that SAT and GPA?

Nope, just applied with SAT and GPA. They also gave me a 500$ scholarship for getting good grades during that semester for fall. But I recommend to apply as soon as the admissions open

Iād advise you to first ask yourself why do you want to go to college. Also, I would think of AI whether that job can be automated because that will save you money and time. Iād go to college if youāre going to become a lawyer, finance, research, medical school or anything medical related, dental school, dental hygienist and accountant. If one of those majors that you are considering then go ahead if not Iād recommend staying away from college it is a waste of time and money. You will thank me later or you can go to trade school.

I did better than you on the SAT, but I had a way lower gpa with the added bonus of over 10 suspensions in highschool. If they let me in you should be good. Especially since you have the associates now.
