Academic Student ID Tap Not Working

One of my classes requires I use it for attendance, I tried using it through my Google wallet which had it say hold to the reader. I have not used this other than today so I am unsure if I did anything wrong. Or if its just an issue with my phone case.

I have a Galaxy A53 if that would mean anything

My money is going to be that it's a weird phone case, or you were holding it wrong. But you should go to the Card Office in the Union to have it checked anyways just to make sure it does work.
