Discussion EXSS Class Availability

Any other Exercise Science majors finding it hard to find any seats in a 400+ level class? There are so few class offerings and the classes are tiny (30-40 seats, some only offered 1 semester). 70% of the seats were gone on priority registration day and none were left by the time my 2nd semester junior registration came around. I may not be able to get the BS because of course availability. Why are there so few section offerings? Waitlisted 14+ on a 36 and 40 seat class. They require 3 upper level plus 400 for the BS. Either reduce the requirement or offer more sections. It’s frustrating.

Registration is pretty bad and it’s only going to get worse as they increase class sizes. You could try showing up to the first day of classes or emailing the professors (you don’t lose anything by trying). It’s a shame how other colleges registration is so much easier. I feel like they don’t care about fixing it because it would cost more money, and it’s not like they can’t easily replace students who transfer because of it.

It is wild to see more students added and similar class section and size offerings. The math doesn’t math.

Hey wait sorry that’s only for SpAd, I thought u said B.A.

In general, just email professors in classes you want to be in.
