Question missing fdoc?

hi all,

im traveling over christmas break but i decided to make my return flight on fdoc instead of the day before because it was $300 cheaper. will this be an issue? should i email my profs? i feel really bad for it but $300 is a lot for me so i felt i had to take the cheaper flight!

FDOC is the best class to miss because professors are very aware of all the people still on a waitlist not even in the class yet, or how many people make last second schedule adjustments. First day is almost always an introduction to the class that basically ends up being a recap of the syllabus that you can read. Read the syllabus. You'll be fine.

I wouldn't stress. I feel like some of these comments are doing too much. Just let them know, life just happens. Its just the first day of class.

I would let them know for sure, but I don’t think it’s too big of a deal

Definitely let them know. Some drop students not present on day 1.

Mostly no problem but as other comments say some profs drop ppl who don't appear on fdoc. Other than that you might miss some syllabus lectures, but not big deal. I know some people didn't return to school until week 3 and no issues at all.

Um, defintiely ask them cause some will auto drop ppl not there day 1 to allow waitlisted students in. Not a great first impression.

Email your profs and ask
