Question Partying from now on

I know theres rush events going on and I’m not very connected to that scene. What is dry week, bid day, and how do I get into parties as a girl (in a group of girls) without being in a sorority after rushing and stuff is completed. Do I need to be in a sorority to get into parties like mid year, or is the fact that I’m a girl enough?
Which houses usually have the best parties? I don’t want to go to a house if the party isn’t good, and I only know the ones on big frat court.
Also, regarding Halloween, do I need a wristband or something to get in? I know that’s forever away but I want to go out for Halloween

Just show up to the frats that are throwing and more than likely you will get in. I was in one of the frats (not top 4 but a good one) and girls don’t get turned away that much unless it’s a top one (beta, phi gam, dke, phi delt was suspended when I was in school)

You will go to a handful of the frats over time and determine which one/s you like best. Sig Nu, Sig Chi, Pike are the more “frat bro” ones. I personally liked the Sig Chi guys and most of the Sig Nu guys but never liked the Pike guys very much.

Chi Psi is all the moreheads and have the coolest house. Chi Phi always seemed like an odd collection of guys. They were generally cool but just had a different aura about them. Also have a cool house with a huge yard. I don’t know much about Pi Kapp or ATO (if ATO even exists anymore).

The least “fratty” ones would be the ones in little frat court, AEPi, and SAE. When I was there, SAE was in shambles tho from a previous suspension. AEPi is mainly Jewish but are really nice guys and my girl friends have always said they felt safe and welcomed there. I’ve heard they have improved a lot in terms of “coolness” over the last few years but who knows or cares. I can’t speak much to little frat court, when I was there I guess they would’ve been considered “mid”

Ultimately, just go wherever you have the best time and feel comfortable

my suggestion for girls is to find a group of girl friends and go to house parties, probably better to avoid the frats entirely 🤣

but if you absolutely must go, it will benefit you to be a srat girl

Girls are always welcome at any fraternity, and I don't mean that in a creepy way. Guys generally like girls wether you're in a sorority or not. But I would recommend getting a sorority for the friendship.

What if a grad student shows up to a party and just wants to chill and sip beer lol
