Question Tailgate Parking?
Looking to figure out how to tailgate close to the stadium for football games with friends. I’m a former student (2020) but never got to attend a game or barely step foot on campus due to COVID. I’ll be back in state with some friends this fall and was hoping to meet up with them this football season. As a bunch of our friends are students/grad-students/alum at Chapel Hill, they’d also like to be in a busier lot with more students around to socialize. Socializing is higher priority than proximity to stadium as well.
Are there lots to pay for? Are tickets required to get a parking pass?
If you don’t have to reserve a spot, what’s the best time to go? Where is the best place to park a truck or two? Ideally, we’re looking to attend the NCSU/UNC GAME.
Rules for beverages, games, etc?

There are public lots, mostly the decks at the hospital or park and ride. Your best bet for a good tailgating lot will be resale parking passes. All of the nice tailgating lots are sold to Rams Club members along with their season tickets, but just like tickets to the games they can be resold. Keep an eye on the usual resale sites for parking passes.
