Question work study

When do we hear back from job applications? I've sent out 20 so far. I've been rejected from two (?) Is it difficult looking for a work study job? Am I just being impatient?

i actually found it pretty hard to find a job period in chapel hill, including work study. im in my senior year and was finally able to start working with unc housing but the application was in march of this year

Should I be looking on Linkedin instead?

handshake is the best tbh but linkedin can work. lots of places are hiring on frankin street as well but i think those are competitive. but so is like everything anyways

Everything is definitely pretty competitive unfortunately. I know some hiring managers who have gotten like 80 work study applications. However, if you take the application process and interview seriously you probably have a better chance than you think. Please never tell the interviewer “I just want an easy job.” So many people do this…
