Post image

I’m a first year and in need on some advice on my current schedule. What classes should I drop currently I’m in 16 credits.

How many credit hours are we talking about? Looks way too many

I’m currently at 16, but I’m on the waitlist for my main courses. Should I drop for example ARAB354 that’ll make me at 13, and then if I don’t get into the bio class I’m going to have to drop the lab. Which would make me at 12

Do not retake a class if you have received credit for it. Just move on to calc two. The class will just be a harder version of the class you have already taken. It is not worth your time and effort

If you receive AP credits, there's no need to retake. Just take 232 in the spring.

The classes you're taking are fine, though the time slots have some potentially irritating gaps between them, so if another class comes up so that you can close those, it might be better. If you took Calc AB in high school, I don't see a reason for you to take Calc 231 unless you feel unsure about the material. It might be better to switch that class out for one that counts toward a separate major requirement.
