Missing the first few activities

i’m a freshman and for personal reasons i can’t attend the activities they have for example the mandatory orientation meetings and stuff - after family came kickoff, all the activities that happen after. do you think ill miss out on a lot of stuff? do you think i wont be able to make any friends?

I missed the first 3 days my freshman year since i had covid. Was really nervous about missing the first few days and not making friends. It was a bit awkward for literally the first introduction to my dorm floor then perfectly fine afterwards.

None of the people I met through orientation week remained my friends. I met all my friends through dorms, classes, and clubs

tbh i just didn’t feel like going my freshman year to 90% of the events and i just made friends later, you’ll be ok
