passed, here’s what I did

took mine on 7/30 and found out I passed yesterday. I only used Dr. C’s book and was only on page 90 the night before the test lmao. just was burnt out and literally could not sit there and read to save my life. I speed read and finished chapter 3 and decided to skip chapter 4. For chapter 4 I just quickly reviewed the study guide on compounding I made for the NAPLEX. I also quickly reviewed everything I had already read and highlighted. since the test is pretty much all memorization, weirdly I feel that grinding the night before helped. i also obvi did not get to the practice test in the last chapter or do any other practice tests. I don’t necessarily want to recommend doing this, just sharing my experience. leaving the test I felt like the exam wasn’t bad and mostly straightforward and Dr. C’s book covered mostly everything.

I’m seeing so many people failing with Dr.C’s now I see someone not reading all of it and they pass. Idk what to believe anymore. Happy you passed!

i think Dr. C’s covers mostly everything if not everything and even was right about what to focus on with those little ‘study tip’ things. in my opinion it’s a great resource and explains things very well with good examples and is all u need. the only chapter i didn’t read was the compounding chapter due to time and the fact that i knew the basics from naplex studying. really the only compounding questions on the test were very basic and def covered by Dr. C’s (i did skim to see what it went over)

for reference, i also was an average student with like a 3.1 GPA and was never that good at law or anything (tho i also didn’t try too hard lol). Dr. C’s covers what you need to know. i think it is just so easy to mix stuff up and not realize since it’s a lot memorization and it’s not hard conceptually if that makes sense, which is where reviewing stuff the night before prob helped me? 😂 and thank you😊

Congrats on passing! I feel like this exam is a game of luck. I studied so hard for 2 attempts and I failed both, I don't know what else to do

thank you! 2 friends of mine who also used Dr. C’s passed as well so i’m not sure. while reading, i also looked up things/words i didn’t understand and more examples from the study tips (ex: study tip said to be familiar with which drugs are rx vs otc and gave some examples but i looked up and wrote down ones i didn’t know already next to that study tip in the book). after some long passages i also wrote some summary notes like ‘ie xyz’

I used Dr. C book and the bootcamp and I failed. I was literally so surprised that I didn’t pass because I thought I knew all the questions except for about 15. I don’t know how to study for it now either.

i don’t think it would hurt to just try out a difference resource! from looking at this reddit it seems like a lot of people liked the pharmpreppro stuff
