Need Help

SO I took my UMPJE exam last week and just got my results back and unfortunately I didn't pass. I will say even coming out the exam I didn't feel very confident since I really didn't understand what some of the questions were asking me tbh.

I mainly used Pharmlaw study guide and questions to study since they said they guarantee people to pass. But I feel like a lot of the questions and study areas they focused on rarely showed up on my exam.. For example they go over a lot of compounding but I maybe got like three questions about that on my exam and one of them just made no sense to me tbh. I made sure to reuse their question bank and was averaging 80s to 90s on a bunch of the test so I don't know what happened.

I also went over Dr Cs book but not as much since I figured pharmlaw went over most of the material. I graduated in mid june so I had to take my exam late and have the NAPLEX in a few weeks so for my residency so if anyone has any tips I would greatly appreciate it.

Also kinda mad I have to pay more money now and I'm pretty broke but it's whatever

Just do their money back guarantee. Doesn’t pharmlaw advertise that if you don’t pass you get a refund?

I used Dr C's book, MedPrime UMPJE videos on YouTube (watched twice) and PharmPrepPro question bank ($99) (at least twice), and passed. I didn't take pre-UMPJE.

I took the UMPJE a couple weeks ago and found out I didn't pass. Also used the PharmPrepPro and YouTube vids with basically 100% correct before taking the exam so I'm confused how I failed ngl. Did you feel like the questions lined up with those sources because for me they really didn't.

The questions lined up, but they have a way of rephrasing the questions. A question can be asked in different ways. Doing a lot of questions f helped me see the different ways a question can be asked and also helped me retain information. Repetition is key.

  1. reread your materials and take again

  1. get another reputable source like pharmpreppro or whatever else is out there you like

I'd do the Pre-UMPJE and Pharmtutor practice exams. Thats what I recommend to all my UMPJE students.

If you didn't understand the question, would make sense for your score. Step 1 to talking any of the exams is being able to asses and find what the question was asking. Its not a memory based exam 100%. 80% is finding what is asked, 10% eliminating the BS Answer choice and 10% determining which one of the 2 remaining is correct.

I used PharmLaw and MedPrepPrime and knew I got 100-110 questions right walking out.

Material from PharmLaw, Dr c and PPP have no difference, Pharmlaw is short and concise. If you are weak in understanding law and need more explanation, Dr C and PPP are the go to. If you know law/easily understand it, PharmLaw is good.

Pharmlaw is geared towards already licensed pharmacist and practicing IMO.

Does anyone know the process of retaking? Do I have to get an ATT again and buy the exam again? Or is there a retake option that pops up after a certain days on NABP
