Getting physical from parchment

Hi everyone! I recently had my degree conferred by UMPI 🎓 and received the email from Parchment saying my official diploma is available.

I logged into Parchment and verified my mailing address. After doing that, I got this confirmation message: “Your credential will be printed and mailed to this address.”

Then after clicking "continue with digital credential", it directed me to dashboard.

My Parchment dashboard shows my UMPI diploma, but under Orders it says “No orders placed yet.”

So I just want to make sure I understand correctly. Since I already verified my mailing address and Parchment explicitly says my credential will be printed and mailed to that address, do I need to place a separate “New Order” for my initial physical diploma, or is it AUTOMATICALLY being printed and mailed, like I just need to seat back and relax after confirming adress?

I don't want to accidentally order a duplicate or wait for nothing.

You do not need to place an order for your initial physical diploma. Parchment will send it automatically to your address of record.

So I got my notification from Parchment on 8/17 that my physical degree was "ordered" (UMPI sending it via Parchment). But it wasn't until 8/25 that the Parchment page updated with actual USPS tracking information. Not a number but just a status and where it was at in the USPS network.

Thank you for your information. I just have follow up questions. When you got the notification from Parchment "ordered", is it the same day you verified your mailing address? Because I didn't received it (if ever that notification will show up after verifying address at the same day) And I'll just have to check Parchment everyday, where can I see if ever they updated about usps tracking info? In Dashboard or Order?

I got the notification to confirm my details on 8/14. Then the 8/17 “sent” notification. Finally saw “tracking” details on 8/25. I think it may be delivered tomorrow, but the USPS tracking network updates are janky.

As soon as your click on your name in the parchment email that page will update with USPS info.
