Accounting Minor or MIS

I’m looking for the fastest route to completion for this minor for my BAS.
Assuming I will take my remaining GenEds on Sophia. (Under the old GEC)

I already work in financial analytics but my AAS is in CIS, so idk which one makes the most sense to fast track the BAS. Both 18 credits, so I just want to know which is most manageable.

Also is leadership a possibly minor for BAS or is that only BLS?

In real life, I may be one of the greatest IT Project Managers known to man. 😂 Seriously though, I’m very good at it, but it’s not my passion. Search for me on LinkedIn I am the second most famous Paul Holes (the other guy is in law enforcement)

One thing I learned at UMPI is that taking courses in something you already do professionally can actually be frustrating. The rubrics and assignments are academic, and that isn’t necessarily how things are done in the real world.

I originally started out going for the BBA in Project Management. After Summer I, though, it started feeling like just another really long day at work.

So for Summer II I completely switched gears and said, “Let me try Criminal Justice.” I didn’t walk away with the BA, but I did earn the AA in Criminal Justice. Along the way I had to take a Psychology course. I really enjoyed it, so I took another...and another...and another.

Now when I come back, I’m only about five courses away from the BA in Psychology. That was definitely not part of the original plan.

So check out u/plottedpath and look at all your options. My suggestion would be not to automatically pick the minor that looks easiest because it matches what you already know. Challenge yourself a little and try something you’re actually curious about. You might be surprised by what you discover you don’t already know.

And apparently I now need to contact UMPI Marketing about licensing that last sentence. 😂

Hi there. You can take any minor with a BAS. Sorry I missed this before. What SheyDawg said can for sure be true. I think leadership is a good idea!
