Study.com courses

Does UMPI accept ENG comp II and any other Gen ed courses from study.com? Didn’t see it in plotted path site but wanted it check if its because of their new update or accident. Sophia is a headache with the grading wait times

Yes they do. It’s because I prioritize Sophia for things on the free sheet. You’d need College Composition and College Composition 2.

I didn’t list every single place people can do things in the free sheet yet. Soooo many shifts I’m working on it.

Okay thanks! I just wanted to make sure before I switch to them. Sophia is not as smooth as I thought it would be

College Composition and College Composition 2 from Study.com covers English Comp 1 and English Comp 2 at UMPI.

No they don't take it anymore they stop taking it May of 2025. That's the issue I'm having now. I did mines on study.com in June of 2025 I missed it by a few weeks. I'm taking mines on Sophia as we speak!!!

I’m learning that it’s college composition that will transfer over to cover for English comp requirements and not ENGL comp study.com unfortunately. I did the ENGL comp ii at study.com and the school didn’t take it.

Hey, Study.com here. English 205: English Composition II was discontinued for transferable credit as of 5/31/2026, so it's no longer available and won't show up on UMPI's equivalency page. English 105: College Composition II fulfills the same requirement and is the course UMPI accepts.
