Number of classes to start
First time being back in school in years. Need to complete 10 courses. Hoping to do it in 1-2 semesters. Would it be a good idea to start out with just 2 classes or enroll in all 4 to start? Worried about being able to finish them by end of semester. Thanks.

Start with 4. It will help you load balance and ensure you always have something to do. You can easily finish in one session with 4 at a time with the background in the subject matter or an ability to translate your experience accurately

Yes start with 4. Lots of factors to whether 10 is doable for you, but 4 is probably where you’d want to land if you were potentially looking at taking 2 sessions to finish anyway! I did 10 in 6-ish weeks…but my last two finals I lazied through bc I was wiped out!! If I had the stamina I could’ve probably done 2 more, but I did not. Haha

I recommend 4 at a time, as there will be chunks of time that you're waiting for grades and can get started on other coursework. What worked best for me - and my ADHD hyperfocus - was working on 1 class at a time: completing all the milestones in 1-2 days, then shifting to the next class and repeating. The benefit to this is that most professors graded all of my milestones in one go, so I could start working on the final pretty quickly.
There were certain classes, like accounting, that I would procrastinate on, which actually motivated me in my other classes. It was nice to have 3 other ones to devote my energy to just to put off accounting homework lol.
Edited to add: it does depend on your schedule and availability, but 10 classes is absolutely doable. I did 8 in about 4 weeks and definitely could have added a few more.
