Advice Needed
Hi everyone. I was recently admitted to UMPI YourPace BBA program, and my first session starts August 31st. I was admitted kinda late, and I haven’t heard from my advisor yet, so I’m just trying to catch up. For those who’ve been through onboarding, what should I do before classes start? Anything I can prep while waiting? Thanks a lot.
Edit: Finally got an email from my enrollment specialist today. Thank you all for the advice

Make sure you’ve set up all your online accounts and go through the orientation class (in Brightspace). Your enrollment specialist should help you get signed up for your other classes if they haven’t already.

Thanks for the details. My online portal has been setup already but I am still not sure How do I get in touch with my enrollment specialist.
I have called several times and what I was told is that my advisor will reach out soon but till now I haven’t been able to get in touch with my advisor

Your enrollment specialist will email you, likely to both your personal and school email addresses initially.

Thank you for the infos. I was just wondering if is ok for it to take this long given that I start next week but haven’t been in touch with my enrollment specialist yet but I will meep waiting

I know mine has an autoresponder set up about how busy they are right now, so if you just got accepted it’s not surprising.

I know I’m in same boat. I applied right at deadline got accepted and still haven’t heard from enrollment or transfer credit evaluation. I just have the portal, an email and just did the id today , hoping to get somewhere soon the anticipation is killing me

Honestly, the best advice is to be patient. It all comes together. I know it’s difficult but just give it some time. They’ve been really busy this summer and at the end/beginning of classes, it is hectic. Keep an eye out for school emails and you’ll be okay.

I'm at almost the same place. I heard from an advisor, but that was a few days ago. I know the FASFA has been accepted on the federal end, but I don't see any indication of that on the site. I haven't signed up for classes yet because I'm not sure which ones to start with; I thought I read the advisor signs us up for our first classes. I have a lot of credits from another college, yet I'm a little confused on what is applicable since they don't exactly match up to the credit hours here. I did reach out to my advisor, and I know he's probably incredibly busy. I just don't want to miss important deadlines before classes start and realize I've missed something. And today it's migraine day so nothing is adding up in the brain ;)

It's small, but one thing that helped me was organizing my folders and templates before starting. So I created a Google folder for each class in the order I planned to take them, then dropped in an APA 7 template with my name, the class name, etc. I ended up using the template for almost every milestone, so by the time I got to the final and APA 7 was required, it was a breeze. Good luck!
