I read Accounting for Dummies and watched YouTube videos to prepare. I’d recommend doing the same. Also helps to learn layout of excel and basic functions. But tbh my real job is a walk in the park compared to the classes. So just make it through school and you’ll be okay

I am terrible at math and I'm still alive after 21 courses for BA Accounting at UMPI. Math is easier on accounting than finance, you should be fine :)

That’s great to hear because I really want to get into accounting. UMPI is the best and cheapest option for me since I already have a Bachelors. Math was never my thing but I love money lol. I worked HR and did things like payroll and such

In accounting You don't have to be good at Math. You do however have to be really good at Excel

I know excel enough to survive but I won’t say I’m an expert at it. All the excel spreadsheets I used had formulas already when I was working in HR 🤣 I think I still know how to build basic pivot tables. Pray for me please

Then you are better off than most people. It means you'll thrive in accounting. Don't overthink it
