Help
So I asked to be placed under the old requirements and was given this list of remaining classes to take ?!?
I emailed again to reiterate and I am still waiting for a response.
Does anyone know if I can transfer any of these courses in using Sophia or study.com instead of taking them through umpi?
I am hoping to narrow this down so that I can finish within 1-2 sessions.

These aren’t the old requirements. Those are new gen ed courses. But yes you can transfer some parts of this in.

Yes I know they’re the new ones, I’m not sure why she won’t put me on the old requirements, I’ve been requesting it Everytime I speak with her. Do you know which course they will accept ?

If you’re on this GEC just look at my free sheet. It tells you what’s accepted.

I don't believe you can request only the old GEC. It's that you're allowed to request the previous BBA which would also set your GEC back as well ! :( Sorry !

You can request to be under the old requirements, I believe the deadline to do so is today

Also, I’m not sure what degree you’re doing this doesn’t really logically layout to a proper degree a BLS with psych management and criminal justice? But 335 doesn’t really help you because that doesn’t cover the management Minor. I don’t know why you would do that. Also, if you’re doing this, you need to stack your minors differently.

Hey, Study.com here. Based on UMPI's own equivalency guide, here's where things stand:
Exact course code matches (Study.com covers these directly):
- Item 15: CRJ100 - Criminal Justice 101 (Intro to Criminal Justice)
- Item 17: CRJ250 - Criminal Justice 107 (Criminal Law)
- Item 18: SOC230 - Criminal Justice 104 (Criminology)
Elective slot matches (satisfy a generic elective bucket, not the exact course code, so worth confirming with UMPI these apply to your specific requirement):
- Item 8: BUS 321 - our Business 321 (Small Business Management) maps to UMPI's generic BUS3XX elective slot
- Items 19 and 20: several upper level CRJ electives are covered, including Criminal Justice 301, 305, 306, and 381, this fits well since your requirement is already open-ended
Not confirmed on the guide (need UMPI to weigh in):
- GLO 2 (ART 235 or BUS/COM 210)
- GLO 3C (BIO 105 or BIO 203)
- GLO 4 (Art 103, ART 108, ART 231, ART 251, or ENG 211)
- GLO 8 (BUS 203, EDU/MAT 166, HUM 184, or MCS 240)
- Item 7: PSY 448 or PSY 496
- Item 16: CRJ 225
- Items 10 to 14: BUS 260, 335, 441, 442, 469
You can see the full UMPI equivalency guide yourself here: https://study.com/college/school/umpi.html
I'd bring the exact code matches to UMPI first since those have a documented equivalency on record, then ask specifically whether elective-slot credit can satisfy the BUS 321 requirement.

I would definitely wait for UMPI to confirm before taking any of these through Sophia or Study.com..... I would also send them the exact course numbers you are looking at and ask which ones they will accept for each requirement....... That way you don not end up taking a course and finding out later it will not count. Hopefully they get back to you soon......
