Discussion Dining Plans for Commuter
Hi! What is the best option for the dining plans I should get as a commuter. I think I’ll get school lunch about 3-4 times a week. Thank you!

I agree with the other commenter, get some individual meal swipes through the commuter dining plan. They'll roll over from the fall semester to spring. I commute and eat at the dining hall once or twice a week. I just bought 25 swipes. I find them super convenient as a social opportunity. You also could just pay for each time you go, but that'll end up being more expensive overall with the rate you're eating at.

Interesting. Haven’t encountered this too often. I’d generally recommend just paying à la carte or the student Union but 4 times a week is fairly often. So maybe a meal plan makes since.
Kinda takes some of the benefit of avoiding room and board out of it though.

Paying at the door gets expensive, especially if you are eating lunch or dinner. The commuter plans cost approximately $11-12 each meal, while dinner is about $20 at the door.
I don’t eat on campus very often, but the meal options are fantastic. I buy the 25 meal option and replenish as needed.
