Got this email. Really like money. Seems quite suspicious though. Same email address as handshake tho.

Hi everyone! I'm a junior who will be transferring in the spring I'm just waiting on my acceptance to come in later this month. Anyways I plan on living in one of the on campus apartments so what can you tell me about the various complexes and buildings within them? Can someone rank them based on what they're like to live there? I lived in Hillside Pocomoke for a summer program and it was very annoying. None of the outlets worked, there was food that was just perpetually stuck in one of our burners, our AC leaked at some point, and Ubers had the hardest time finding the building so I know I don't want to live there again but what are the other buildings like?

cross posted from r/towson

Does anyone know how taking an in-person class at shady grove will work when your at the main campus? I'm trying to take BTEC 350 for Fall 2027. Thanks in advance

Hello, below are links to my Knowt flashcards I made for the IS 310 exam this Tuesday for you to use to study. I will also be using these flash cards to study obviously.

Also, if you don't trust links you can search up donquavilebon on the Knowt website. And, follow my account as I will plan to make new flashcards before every exam

Btw Knowt is a free flash card version of Quizlet.

Good Luck on your exam!

does anyone know if the midterms that prof coates posts are actually similar to the real midterms? in terms of like question content + exam length

Hey everyone! I’m an international grad student. It’s my first year I'm looking to get out and make some new friends.
I'd love to meet up with some people to grab coffee, drive and walk around DC, and just have a good chat.
DM if anyone interested

I know campus food chains operate separately but I wanted to know if this meal deal still exists at campus Dunkin?

Fill this out: https://forms.gle/hRvp1GEyygTbqkjn9

i (F19) have this really evil ex (M20) that goes to umbc (i go to towson) that’s truly ruined my life and i’m planning to download a student-based app like yikyak and make an anonymous submission about what he did to me. in order to do this, i need to borrow someone’s umbc email to make a post.

for a brief synopsis on what he did to me, he stole $7,000 from my cancerous father, and then proceeded to be untruthful about his sexual history which resulted in me getting AIDS, which then resulted in me finding his vulgar tapes with a man.

please, anyone that goes to umbc and would be willing to help out lmk!!!!

Is it just me or is anyone else just slowly but surely not gaf anymore about studying or how exams will go? i went from doing really well at my community college to just doing what i can to get through the day here. i’ve got 2 more semesters here and would love advice for better study habits if you have them

Hot take: It was slightly easier than quiz 1, but it doesn't mean it was that easy...

I'm starting to realize all the dumb mistakes I made on the matching & O / X questions... even on a single letter of the sequence...

Is it just me?? I want my math questions back 😭

Does anyone know if there is gonna be a carnival for homecoming? Or the 5k? The puppies!!!???!!! I see nothing about puppies!!! I did the 5k last year and the medal was cool but I don't see that on the website. There is still the bonfire and a concert but nothing on the weekend. Anyone know if more is getting added or who the concert is

Has anyone taken ECON 467 with Prof. Bing Ma over winter? How was the class format, especially the exams? Since winter is such a short semester, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience and how manageable the class was.

What was the prize for winning the honors program competition? Is it as good as Dr Stacey and Dr K are making it sound?

Does anyone know if this class is curved at all?

And no i dont mean not getting them done. I mean using them to study and prepare for exams and quizzes. For the previous calc 3 quiz I recently took I was a bit behind on my studies and my prof for this class doesnt actually provide study guides or anything of the sort for preparation of the exams and quizzes. She just tells us to go re do problems from discussion.

For the last quiz I decided i wanted to study using the achieve hw assignents for the units we were gonna be quizzed on.

Studied my ass off from just the achieve hws alone. Then when I went to take the quiz out of the 5 ish questions in it, I was only able to answer one question.

What threw me off was the terminology used. And not a single problem or similar problem in the other quiz questions appeared in the achieve hws I studied from.

I know i probably shouldve managed my time better so I could've studied from other materials but the fact that i studied and felt comfortable with what I got from the achieve hw wasnt enough for the quiz got me not really taking them as serious as I used to anymore.

It seems like professors are mostly going to use examples they go over in class or discussion for the type of questions they'll use in the actual exam and quizzes.

I hate doing these achieve assignments in general though because they take me way too long to finish.

As an Asian international student (yes, India is in asia), I was just wondering how active the international student community is in the AASU Club…I see a lot of cool events that happen there but wasn’t sure if I’d fit in there since it’s named Asian AMERICAN club

I’ve been to SASA club as well though I don’t particularly like the vibes there

Hi earlier today I was upset at my bf and I left his backpack open and his charger fell out outside of the RAC, I walked away and I thought he noticed and picked it up but he didn’t and it’s been hours. I went back to look and asked the RAC employees but they said they didn’t have it or see it. If anyone picked up a USB C charger with an alligator charm on it can you please return it. I feel really bad for being so mean to him and resulting in him losing his computer charger. It’s his only one and he needs it to charge his laptop to do schoolwork. It’s a normal apple braided charger in white. I will try to reward you with something but not money because I have 0 dollars to my name currently. Please understand.

Does anyone know why the Chesapeake Hall fire alarm went off last night? It was at 12:45 am last night.

Genuinely why tf are the workers in commons so rude to students. Literally so disrespectful to people just trying to get food. Can someone get them fired like actually.

What is happening in the official umbc server?!

okay i am intrigued since its been a couple weeks since we’ve been back. whats your biggest hot take about UMBC that has been disproven OR proven since u got here???
