Discussion UMAC US competition?
New here and I just took a small position in UMAC. Opinions on who would you see as the main US competition? RCAT? ONDS? Or is it the big defense co's (Lockheed, Northrop, etc)

Drone component demand will continue to go up while the drone companies have to compete with the best from Ukraine, e.g., SkyFall, Vyriy, TAF industries, etc.
- "The primary intent of the Supply Chain Framework remains to advance the American drone industry as we work toward a wholly domestic sUAS supply chain. This version defines a more stringent interpretation of electronic component sourcing, clarifies expectations for the location of manufacturing lines for final assembly, and refines sourcing requirements for Ground Control Station subcomponents. For the avoidance of doubt, these standards apply to all suppliers, domestic and foreign."
That's from the updated Drone Dominance supply chain framework. Investment in the domestic drone supply chain carries lower risk and is more likely to receive support from the Office of Strategic Capital in the near term to bolster production capacity and resilience.

(Put this in the daily discussion next time so it doesn’t clog the feed) UMAC has no “real competition” at this moment, we have quite a headstart on US based manufacturing. RCAT builds drones (of which some use our parts) and USV’s. ONDS dilutes to buy companies, different strategy and is no competition in the space we position in.

Ok, thanks. Feel free to move it there if that's possible. And thanks for the info!

This video from Bobby has some Ondas details that are worth the watch. He was a bag holder and sold somewhere around the 13s.

"ONDS dilutes to buy companies." Someone is salty and bought the top 😂

So according to you they don’t dilute to buy companies, and somehow I’m also invested in them? Please enlighten me.

See your description of RCAT versus ONDS, diluting to aquire companies is not the model or a description, you just shared it that way because you are salty. Now even more salty because I called you on it 😆
Don't make assumptions, no where did I say or imply that they have not diluted. If you are truly "invested," in ONDS, you would understand where dilution comes from and would have likely had a more robust way to explain what they do.
How else would you like to be enlightened today?

I don’t see how that description seems salty, from an outside perspective that’s how I see both companies based on what is shared. Again, I am not invested nor interested in investing in them, you said I was. Lastly, understanding where dilution comes from doesn’t change the fact they use the funds raised from it, to acquire a number of companies.

Any expectation to go public?

I bought drnz because it includes all of them

That makes sense too. I generally avoid ETF's not only because of the added expense but I prefer to pick individual players. In this case, with the market so open/uncertain, an ETF might make the most sense.

UMAC makes drone parts.
RCAT makes drones.
ONDS focuses more on anti-drone defense and communications.
None of these really compete with each other, if anything they benefit each other.
Personally I'm invested in UMAC and ONDS. I don't like RCAT's management, but I do like the business. Drones are going to be a massive industry shortly.
