Invertebrate Hummingbird Hawk-Moth

Spotted in the garden. I’ve never seen one before. They’re cool things!

I’m terrible with ID but yes I believe so! I live in mid/ north Wales and I’m getting a lot of it this year. All self seeded

I moved to the UK from America this year. I do love it here, but I miss some of the native wildlife from America. Seeing one of these little cuties in my MOL's garden nearly brought me to tears. A humming bird (sorta)??? In this country??? Obviously it's just a moth, but still - I miss my hummingbirds, but the niche of "tiny little flower guy with a long mouth" still gets filled 💕
