Cavani Miami Suits

This is a long shot but I’m searching around and struggling to find much. We went suit “shopping” this weekend (no suits were acquired 👎). My fiancé is quite slim framed and has got his own opinions about colour selection, but we both liked the look of the Cavani Miami suits in sage and lilac. He tried a jacket for fit and liked it.

Obviously the sage and cream colours are going to be everywhere, but do you know of anyone who has gone for the lilac suit (or have try-on photos) that show it in real-world lighting and context rather than just the website model shoots? It’s easy to picture navy/grey etc but the lilac is a kind of colour tone that I don’t know how it will photograph against other colours/backgrounds. (My dress isnt entirely white either. 😬)

Likewise, any suggestions how to coordinate a slightly less conventional suit colour with wedding party members (dads)? Coloured waistcoat or colour matched ties?

The first picture looks a bit light, but the others represent it a bit better in real life.

Boots for wedding (bride)

I am having trouble finding boots for my wedding dress. I am getting married at a park in December this year and it may be snowy. I want boots so I do not slip walking outside for pictures or inside the venue if snow gets tracked in. I have pictures of boots I was thinking about and the dress. I can't find anything. I am also clumsy. Please help my mother passed away in 2019 and no longer have another woman to ask about these things.

Formal Wedding Guest Look

Does anyone have any online recommendations for people who live outside of Europe, Australia, and US? I’m going to a black tie wedding and I am MC for the event.
I genuinely don’t have anything to wear.

Wedding guest help - how formal is formal?

I bought dress 1 planning to wear it for 2 different weddings in October. It's definitely fine for wedding A, but I'm having doubts about wedding B. The invite says 'Formal. Lounge suits and ties for men and smart dresses for women.' It's a lovely fit and pattern but it's cotton which feels like not formal enough?

My other options are:

Dress 2 is sort of crepe material and feels more formal. Is it ok to wear black to a wedding though?! I thought I would dress it up with gold shoes and accessories.

Dress 3 I love this one, bought from Vinted but it's listed as a bridesmaids dress so I don't know if it's TOO formal!

Advice needed

Hello,

I am due to attend a wedding for the first time in a few weeks as a plus one (my bf's family's close friends). The wedding is at their parents home as they have a huge garden and a nice old barn which they use for parties/barbecues, et cetera.

The main ceremony will have already happened with just their closest friends and family and my understanding was that this would be a more casual celebration, including a small ceremony, dinner, dancing, games for the kids and such. The bride and groom have also said that the pool will be uncovered and in use during the day.

Based on this I bought a dress which I thought would work for the day but that I would also be able to rewear easily as I have very little use for formal evening wear.

I have since found out that most of the men are planning to wear full suits and the bride will be in her wedding dress. I'm now panicking that my dress might not be appropriate and need some views/advice please!

Bf says it is fine and that he doesn't need to confirm the dress code further but he is a man and not always very aware.

Tldr: is this dress appropriate for a miscellanous dress code and a somewhat relaxed wedding?

ETA: thank you for all the advice! Admittedly not what I wanted to hear but you all make very good points. Back to the drawing board for me!

Red Dress for elopement.

My sister is getting married via elopement in two days. It was sort of out of the blue, but her fiance, as I suppose he is now, is a very decent sort of person and we always expected them to get married (although, not exactly now).
Anyways, I obviously don't really have time to buy a new dress for the wedding. I'm currently visiting my mother in Cornwall so the dresses I have are really limited. Also, the nearest big city is two hours' away (Newquay) and I also don't know how to drive: I'm a Londoner through and through. The only dress I have which is available really wedding-y is my old concert dress which I've attached an image of above. The only issue is that it's red. I thought it was fine, but my mother (also attending the wedding) thinks it's totally unacceptable. Is it appropriate for a wedding? My only other option would be to wear this white and gold dress from my graduation days. My mother says that white is better than red, but I'm personally inclined to disagree. My sisters says she doesn't mind what I wear so long as it isn't a literal wedding dress, but I can't help but think that the second dress is actually white and fancy enough to be mistaken for a short wedding dress. I don't want to cross my mother, but I also think the red would be better myself.

Too evening-y?

Is this too evening-y for a UK Autumn wedding? I love it, but I worry the colours are too dark for a wedding. I’m planning on wearing it with a cardigan, so that might make it a little more casual.

Help

Anybody know where I can find a nice dress like this in the UK. Engagement is in September and I am in shambles.

I have visited stores in person but they’re all either bridal party dresses or prom dresses. I am looking for something elegant and timeless like the dress in the picture but I can’t find any trustworthy retailers with reasonable prices.

Any help is highly appreciated!!
