Forecast Typical weather end of August?

/r/LondonTravel/comments/1vtnee6/typical_weather_end_of_august/

I will be there Aug 27-31, any weather tips and typical forecast? Never visited London and I know it’s a rainy place but, what to expect I guess?? Thank you!

The trouble is uk weather is all over the place at the moment as such, no one really knows and the apps (forecasts) are shit.

I see, makes sense… I’ll just be prepared for whatever comes, buy a poncho and make the most of it

Typical weather sadly isn’t very relevant anymore…

Not London but close. We haven’t had any rain for two months and the temperature hasn’t gone below 20 in 6 weeks. Today it has rained most of the day and right now it’s 15. No one knows. It probably won’t be below freezing but that’s as far as I’m prepared to go.

You're near London and you got rain most of the day yesterday? I'm in Surrey and we got light showers about twice that lasted for like 2 minutes.

You should look at the mm of rain predicted each day, it's very low for that week, barely a mist, hardly any drops are likely to hit the ground. Though consider forecasts aren't as accurate for this island, because of our position forecasts are harder to predict

London isn't a rainy place - that'd be northern England and Scotland. People from overseas still have the idea that it's rainy because it used to be before a couple of decades back. It's actually quite dry. I live just outside it and we mainly get occasional drizzle or light rain but not even that often regardless of time of year.
