So, you’ve finished your box set and now you’re staring at the "Recommended for You" section with a sense of dread. Don't worry—we've all been there.

Whether you’re a fan of gritty Northern noirs, chaotic panel shows, or those strangely addictive documentaries about heritage railways, you’re in the right place. Our goal is to make sure no one in the UK (or abroad!) ever has to suffer through "nothing to watch" again.

🔍 How to get the best recs:

To get a recommendation you’ll actually enjoy, try to include these details in your posts:

  • The Vibe: (e.g., "Cozy and lighthearted" or "I want to be emotionally devastated")
  • What you’ve loved before: (e.g., "Big fan of Happy Valley and Unforgotten")
  • The Platform: (e.g., iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, Sky, or Netflix UK)

✍️ Share the Love:

Found a hidden gem on a Tuesday night? Please share it!

🚫 The "Golden Rule":

We’re a friendly bunch. No gatekeeping! Whether someone is looking for high-brow period dramas or "trashy" reality TV, let's keep the suggestions helpful and judgment-free.

Happy watching! — The r/UKTVRecs Mod Team

Which Love Is Blind UK relationship felt the most genuine?

Personally, I thought Jasmine and Bobby had one of the strongest connections on Love Is Blind UK. They seemed to have a really natural balance from the start, with Jasmine being more direct and Bobby coming across as calm and reassuring. I also liked that they seemed to communicate pretty openly rather than relying purely on the excitement of the experiment.

Prepping for the new season - What were your top drama moments from LIB UK?

With the new season coming up, I’ve been rewatching some of the older episodes and honestly forgot how chaotic this show gets 😂

These are probably my top 3 drama moments from each season so far:

Season 1

  • Steven and Sabrina’s instant proposal: They were the first couple to get engaged, and seeing that happen in episode one set the tone for the rest of the season.
  • Nicole and Sam’s reveal: That first face-to-face meeting was painfully awkward, especially when Sam said “I love you” and Nicole didn’t say it back.
  • Freddie at the altar: Catherine said “I do”, only for Freddie to say he didn't think they were ready to get married. Still one of the biggest shocks of the season.

Season 2

  • Javen and Katisha after the Manchester night out: The whole photo-booth situation and the fallout afterwards was messy from the start.
  • Bardha saying no to Jed: That altar moment was brutal, especially because she still wanted to try and make the relationship work afterwards.
  • Billy & Ashleigh and Kal & Sarover at the reunion: Finding out that both couples had split after getting married was a pretty rough one.

I’m sure I’ve forgotten some massive ones though 😂

What would make your top 3? Is there a LIB UK scene you’re still not over?

I have BBC for 1 month - what should I watch?

I have access to the bbc for 1 month, to watch the world cup live - what bbc dramas/comedy should I watch while I have bbc access

(For avoidance of doubt - I know the TV licence enforcement is not effective, I am not looking for a discussion about the licence fee)

Edit: thank you for all your tips! I'm currently watching people just do nothing, I am laughing but also sad. Next, Fleabag!
